David J. Barnes- President/Supply Chain Specialist
I possess 13 years of experience as a Purchasing Manager in the Integrated Supply business and 22 years overall manufacturing experience in operations. My Integrated Supply experience concentrated on strategic sourcing and inventory management to obtain cost saving solutions for fortune 500 companies. Results achieved under my direction exceeded 20% cost savings annually to companies I represented. The skills and techniques I used and developed were unique to the customer. In 2012, I was faced with a decision to relocate or stay in Northern New York. My choice was to stay and develop a company that would bring benefits to any business, thus Barnes Purchasing Solutions was conceived. I am excited to partner with any business that needs help with supply chain to attain sustainable solutions. To that, I have designed an innovative approach for services to meet and exceed the expectations for cost savings and accountability based on 3 development principals regarding; People, Process and Technology.
BIO: I reside in North Lawrence, NY with my wife Julie. I feel that I have been blessed to have lived in Northern New York State all my life. Even when my career has taken me to different parts of the country, my base has been here. I enjoy spending time with my family, and playing sports inclusive of; Golf, Ice Hockey and Softball. I am grateful for having all the experiences that have been afforded me in Northern New York. I look forward to enhancing and continuing my career by establishing Barnes Purchasing Solutions, located in the area that I am proud to call home.
Education: Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Economics from SUNY Potsdam
